Is it time for you to take your written or road test for your driver’s license? Here are some helpful tips for passing both the written and road tests required by Arizona.

Written Test

The written test for a regular driver license consists of 30 multiple-choice questions. Questions are taken from the Arizona Driver License Manual. A score of 80% or higher is required to pass the actual examination.

Below are Arizona driver license examination practice tests to help you check your knowledge of the information needed to obtain a driver license or instruction permit. For licensed drivers the practice tests provide a good review.

Road Test

If a road test is required, you may drive a test route that has a variety of traffic situations. An examiner will ride with you in your vehicle and give you directions to follow. You will be observed and graded on specific actions and on your general ability to operate the vehicle safely.

Before going out on the road, you will be required to pass a parking test and a successful completion of a three-point turn. Paying one application fee allows you three attempts to pass the test in a 12-month period.
