The new Highway Public Safety Fee, implemented state-wide by ADOT, will be added to vehicle registration. According to ADOT, “The fee was established by state law to support public safety and Highway Patrol operations.

While it’s still under investigation, it’s believed to be either chains dragging or a cigarette being tossed from a vehicle that caused the Viewpoint Fire that started next to a highway recently in Prescott Valley. Definitely human caused.
